Films Reviewed: Revenge of the Sith
and Kingdom of Heaven Commentary: What Star Wars has done to Hollywood Featurette: The
costumes of Revenge of the Sith Regarding Revenge of the Sith: Matt: The trilogy is
over, and all is finally good in the universe. Or is it? This film,
while a vast improvement over the last two episodes of the series, still has
moments of clunky dialogue and wooden acting. But the space battles,
lightsaber duels and overall tone of the film work in its favor. Three
stars. Aron: No, this film is
much bigger than that. This film represents the end of the Anakin
Skywalker story and shows us how one of cinema's biggest villains came
about. You will not look at Darth Vader the same way again. I agree
with Matt that this is the best of the new bunch. Go see this film.
Four stars!!! Average Rating: ***1/2 (out of
****) Regarding Kingdom of Heaven : Aron: I just couldn't
care about this one. I really wanted to, but Ridley Scott has done this
film before, and much better. No real reason to see this at all. Two
stars. Matt: Kingdom of
Boredom is a more apt title. I could have cared less for any of these
characters. And Orlando Bloom needs to play something more modern day for
his next role. Two stars. Average Rating: ** (out of
****) Commentary: In 1977,
George Lucas gave us the first Star Wars
film and Hollywood has never been the same since. Aron and Matt look into
what the phenomenon has brought to the industry, such as the summer tent-pole
release. Featurette: The costumes
of Revenge of the Sith.
Every corner of the globe was scoured to obtain the fabrics for these robes
and uniforms.
